Corey Touchette is a native of Bainbridge Island and returned to the Kitsap area in 2019 after over 7 years of studies and post professional work. Corey graduated from Hamline University in St. Paul, MN in 2015 where he double majored in exercise science and public health sciences. Corey played 4 years of collegiate football at Hamline, two of which he served as team captain. Corey ended his football career with distinguished honors athletically and academically. Following his undergraduate degree, Corey attended the University of St. Augustine where he achieved his Doctorate of Physical Therapy. Corey has trained and worked with highly esteemed organizations like EXOS, Houston Methodist Sports Medicine, and Peak Sport and Spine.
After completing his Doctorate, Corey underwent advanced training to obtain his Board-Specialty in Orthopedics. He also received further advanced training in Manual Therapy through the University of St. Augustine, the nation’s leader in manual therapy. He frequently works with a wide range of standard and complex orthopedic surgeries including ACL reconstructions, rotator cuff repairs, total joint replacements, and osseus reconstructions. Corey also works hand in hand with physicians to provide care following biologic procedures including Stem Cell and PRP Therapies. In addition to Corey’s extensive post surgical and orthopedic experience, he has also worked with elderly care centers to establish fall prevention and balance programs to keep individuals active and healthy.
Corey has been a lifelong athlete and has had the opportunity to work with several Olympic and Professional athletes across the country. He holds multiple strength and conditioning certifications and is the only practitioner in Kitsap to have undergone EXOS Performance Methodology Training (XPS). This background gives an athlete a better chance to quickly return to play and with a reduced risk of injury. Corey has worked and volunteered with high schools across the county to implement injury prevention programs for individual and team sports.
